Saint Lucia Cruise Stop

Saint Lucia, now an independent state, was by far our favorite of the Caribbean islands. We enjoyed one of the most peaceful and scenic boat rides we’ve ever experienced to the Gros Piton and Petit Piton mountains. Lasting over 2-hours, this boat ride provided constant opportunities for amazing photos of the green mountains and deep blue sea, one of which we had printed onto a canvas.

After the boat ride concluded, we took a bus to the Piton mountains, and visited mud baths which are said to help with eczema and others skin problems. Be ready, the mud is very hot! It was a unique and unforgettable experience. Afterwards, we visited a waterfall and drank Saint Lucia’s beer, Piton, of course. This six hour tour by boat and bus was $144 per couple, and the experience was well worth the price. We made some awesome friends, Stephen and Ashley, from Wisconsin.

The boat ride is a must, but if you prefer land, there are plenty of other great things to do.

Hi, we’re Dan and Emille. We met at church in NYC in 2010 and in 2011 we were married in Central Park on the bow bridge. In the last 6 years of marriage we stopped paying NYC rent, and bought a place on the edge of Hoboken, NJ, with spectacular views of the NYC skyline, which has been really fulfilling for photography enthusiasts. We have been talking about having kids for the last 6 years, but the New York lifestyle would make it difficult as our families are in Florida and Brazil. So we sold our place and furniture, left some great jobs, and friends and decided to have travel the world before we have kids. We’re cultured, but not fancy. We've been to 21 countries, and would love to visit all of them. We try to experience things like the locals as much as possible.
