Glaciar Perito Moreno Hostel in El Calafate, Argentina

If you are looking for a fun, affordable hostel a few blocks from the bus station in El Calafate, Argentina, then the Glaciar Perito Moreno Hostel has you covered. We “splurged” on a private room, with a king sized bed and a bathroom for a mere $10 USD. The owner makes a giant pizza once a week, and guests are invited to a family-style meal in the kitchen. We met some awesome backpackers there, and it was clear that it’s a great place to make friends.

The owner told us her miraculous story of the events preceding the hostel opening. Her partner ran off with her entire hostel budget months before opening. Out of nowhere, a lady showed up and said that God impressed upon her to give a monetary gift. The gift was the exact amount that was stolen!

We enjoyed our stay Glacier Perito Moreno Hostel, where the wifi is better than most establishments in town, the accommodations are better than most hostels and friendliness is off-the-charts.

Glaciar Perito Moreno Hostel in El Calafate, Argentina en Español 🇦🇷

Hi, we’re Dan and Emille. We met at church in NYC in 2010 and in 2011 we were married in Central Park on the bow bridge. In the last 6 years of marriage we stopped paying NYC rent, and bought a place on the edge of Hoboken, NJ, with spectacular views of the NYC skyline, which has been really fulfilling for photography enthusiasts. We have been talking about having kids for the last 6 years, but the New York lifestyle would make it difficult as our families are in Florida and Brazil. So we sold our place and furniture, left some great jobs, and friends and decided to have travel the world before we have kids. We’re cultured, but not fancy. We've been to 21 countries, and would love to visit all of them. We try to experience things like the locals as much as possible.
