Daniela, the owner of Costa Bahia Tour Agency, is one of the nicest, most friendly people one could ever meet. She visited Porto Seguro as a tourist, fell in love with the city and beaches, and stayed at Arraial Dajuda. After 25 years of working in tourism, she is now the owner of Costa Bahia.
In the town of Trancoso beach, we visited Praia dos Nativos—an amazing hidden beach town discovered in the 1500’s. Celebrities, models, and popstars, like Ivente Salgado, frequent this beach and it’s rated one of the best in Southern Bahia. One of the top plates here is moqueca—one of Emille’s favs—which is a fish stew cooked in a clay pot on the table.
A well maintained, air conditioned bus made the ride fly by. Thamirys Lima, the tour guide, was animated, attentive and professional. First, we stopped at this little hut for Brazilian sweets called “cocada de pimenta “ e “coco com chocolate” aka coconut with chocolate and pepper, and passionfruit with yucca powder for less than $2 each.
After the beach, a brief bus ride found us at the Quadrado city center in Trancoso within eyesight of the well known church, taking in the beautiful colored huts, where the horses run free, and artisans sell their wares. Adorable boutique hotels and restaurants line the courtyard leading to the fantastic ocean view. You can even get your Acai fill at the Frutissima. Brazilians love açai like Italians love gelato—and for good reason.

Visitamos a famosa cidade Trancoso, Praia dos Nativos – uma incrível cidade de praias escondidas descoberta nos anos 1500. Visitada por Celebridades, modelos e popstars, como Ivente Salgado, frequentam esta praia, e é uma das melhores no sul da Bahia. Um dos melhores pratos aqui é moqueca—um dos favoritos de Emille—que é um frutos do Mar cozido na panela de barro. Outro ponto positivo e o transporte Seguro, Limpo conservado, fez o passeio voar. Depois da praia, uma breve viagem de ônibus nos levou ao centro da cidade de Quadrado, em Trancoso, sob a visão da conhecida igreja, ocupando as belas cabanas coloridas, onde os cavalos correm livre, e os artesãos vendem suas mercadorias. Adoráveis hotéis boutique e restaurantes alinham o pátio que leva à fantástica vista do oceano. Você pode até obter seu açaí recheado na Frutissima… Os Brasileiros adoram a açaí, como os italianos adoram o gelato—e por uma boa razão.
