Although Mary, our AirBnb host in Puerto Natales, Chile, already had 7 grandchildren, she gained two more! A naturally giving lady, she welcomed us into her home where she made breakfast every day on our schedule, and even treated us to a few home cooked meals. We had the pleasure of meeting several of her sons and daughters who live nearby and make regular visits. She’s very thoughtful and attentive, always asking if we need anything.
Because we packed light, and have so much equipment with us, Emille didn’t bring a scarf or hiking boots. Mary noticed this, and offered to loan them to Emille, who gratefully accepted. Oh, and she hand knitted miniature sheep for us.
