Belize cruise
In Belize, the former center of the ancient Mayan world, we took a local tour to Altun Ha to visit the ancient ruins. Rough roads and a cramped minivan made the hour-and-a-half bus ride seem longer, but the ruins made is worthwhile.
Belize looks like it has been beaten down by hurricanes and neglect. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Belize for their recovery effort.
The most scenic views are apparently at sea, so the next time we visit, we plan to be scuba certified.
